General Preferences
The General Preferences page allows you to set user option preferences such as user name, startup, preferences, and dialog preferences.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| User Name | Enter the user name of the person operating the software. This should correspond to the user's Windows login name, especially if you are using the Command Protection feature. |
| Startup Preference | Determines whether the software will start with the Welcome dialog or the Project Manager. |
| Use Custom Dialog Text | Sets the software to read any custom dialog text you may have entered using the Mode Manager. |
| Preload components on Windows Startup | This option will preload some modules Promis.e needs to launch when you start Windows. This allows Promis.e to load faster when you launch. |
| Authentication | IMS Authentication: When using IMS Authentication the user will need to enter the User Name/Password provided by the Project Administrator. |
